Team Chess 

Next Team Fixture:  

  All our club league fixtures, (Home & Away) take place at Morpeth Rugby Club on a Wednesday night 7:15pm 

  This section is all about the team matches. If you play in the team your game results will eventually lead to an English Chess Federation  (E.C.F.) grade, depending on how many games you have played in.

 All our team fixtures fall on a Wednesday &  are played at Morpeth Rugby Club. we have team players from Alnwick, Warkworth & Pegswood, as you can see the club welcomes players from anywhere in the area.

The League season usually starts from October until May & consists of 5 players in each team. There are 2 league divisions so there is usually a league fixture every 2 weeks. Each team plays each other once which amounts to 11 or 12 league fixtures in total. when no League fixtures are  taking place, we can still go through to Morpeth for a club night, playing members of Morpeth chess club, who are not taking part in their own league fixtures.
